Full Mouth Reconstructions – Smile Makeover
What is a Smile Makeover?
A smile makeover is often called full mouth reconstruction because its goal is to completely enhance and restore your smile. This type of treatment may be needed if many of your teeth are damaged or missing. Patients who have undergone facial or oral trauma can benefit from full mouth reconstruction. Our goal is to make the makeover process as quick and affordable for you as possible.
Why would a Smile Makeover be needed?
There are several reasons for why you might benefit from a smile makeover. You might have been involved in some type of accident that has caused some or all of your teeth to crack, break or fall out completely. Likewise, your smile might be affected by decay or gum disease and you need to enhance the way that it looks. Smile makeovers are done on a patient-by-patient basis, so we work with you to find the solutions that are right for you.
Who is a candidate for a Smile Makeover?
In order to determine if and when you might need a smile makeover, we will perform a dental examination. We will take x-rays and impressions of your teeth to create a personalized treatment plan just for you. You should be able to commit to treatment, since you may need to come in regularly for weeks or several months. Depending on the type of work that needs to be done, you can expect the makeover to be finished within a short period of time.
What happens during a Smile Makeover?
The first step to a smile makeover is to perform an examination. This allows us to see what type of work is needed and how to begin the treatment that is right for you. We then begin to schedule you to come in for different procedures. These procedures are aimed at improving the look and functionality of your smile. Makeovers offer both cosmetic as well as many restorative benefits to our patients. You can expect one or more of the following procedures to be done:
- Oral surgery
- Crowns and bridges
- Dentures and partials
